New Vice President Announcement

As part of our Board restructuring, the National Board of Directors of pflag Canada are pleased to announce the appointment of Christa Duvall as our new Vice President for the remainder of this year’s term.  

“For our Chapters, it remains business as usual.  While we don’t currently have a Chapter Liaison successor, we [the Board of Directors] will collectively be working hard to ensure all of our Chapter Lead’s concerns, questions and voices are heard, and that they are receiving responses in a timely manner.”  says Taylor Henderson, pflag Canada’s Board President.  

Today’s announcement aligns with pflag Canada’s commitment to providing exceptional resources, peer support and advocacy for our communities.  Henderson adds, “I am excited to welcome Christa to our Executive and invite them to bring their passion for elevated Chapter support to their new role.”  

Today’s announcement was shared with Chapter Leads, who overwhelmingly support and welcome this change to pflag Canada’s Executive structure.  

“In response to the renewed challenges our community faces, we have taken proactive steps to support our Chapter Leads across the country, and I’m pleased that our commitment to supporting all 2SLGBTQIA+ Canadians – especially our trans, non-binary, and gender diverse members, their parents, caregivers, and allies – remains steadfast, even with this organizational change.” says Christa Duvall.
