pflag Victoria is one organization of many. The following organizations are also available for support.
Foundry offers free and confidential mental health and wellness services for youth ages 12-24 in British Columbia and their families. You don’t need a referral.
Learn MoreHost biannual weekend retreats for Trans, Two-Spirit, Non-Binary, and other gender diverse youth! Youth learn under Trans+ experts in a variety of fields—often working towards a large, creative project. The project fosters connections between the youth and adult mentors with shared or similar gender identities and backgrounds who can support and inspire them to live their truths in spite of adversity. In the past we have focused on the creation of projects in the realm of fine arts, such as writing, visual art, and performance, and are working on expanding our fields of interest into other areas. Starting as a writing program, we have published two books so far! We work to empower Trans, Two-Spirit, Non-Binary, and other gender diverse youth so that they can recognize their potential to be leaders in their own communities through British Columbia, and the rest of the world.
Learn MoreThis is a group for parents in the general area of Lekwungen Territory in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, who self-identify as queer, bi, trans, lesbian, gay, two spirit, genderqueer, or who are otherwise "othered" by their sexual and/or gender diversity. We are here to share knowledge and support one another in raising the next generation of kind & loving members of our communities. We respect diversity in genders, sexualities, ethnic and racial identities, and family configurations. Welcome! This group is for sharing information, knowledge, and support specific to queer families and parenting.
