pflag Canada is Family for All. We bring together 2SLGBTQ+ people, family, friends and allies to create an inclusive future.

pflag Canada is a national charitable organization that was founded by parents who needed help learning how to accept and support their 2SLGBTQ+ children. We are dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for 2SLGBTQ+ people and those who love them.

Together, we are creating a just, caring and accepting world for everyone.

Our Values

Community

We find strength in community support. We ensure everyone who wants to connect finds their local 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Inclusivity

pflag Canada is a place where everyone belongs. We ensure unique stories and lived experiences are heard and respected in our work and our community.

Growth

We evolve with 2SLGBTQ+ people to continue providing relevant support and resources.

Accountability

We hold each other and ourselves accountable in our work. We have clear communication and take accountability for our actions.

Our Commitment to Anti-Racism

pflag Canada recognizes the historic and ongoing injustices caused by systems of racism and oppression in Canada and around the world. We also recognize our responsibility to approach our work within the 2SLGBTQ+ community through an intersectional lens, and to elevate QTBIPOC (Queer and Trans Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) voices and experiences.

We are taking steps to drive positive change, beginning with training in anti-racism/anti-oppression and diversity, equity and inclusion for our Board members and Chapter leaders across Canada. We view this as the starting point in an ongoing effort to correct any unintentional inequities in our policies, programs and practices, and to further define and activate our commitment to intersectionality and anti-racism.
